|
Predeal,
the well-known health resort, is placed at the meeting
of the Prahova and Timis rivers, in the same called
pass placed at the altitude of 1030 meters. The Predeal
Resort is at a distance of 142 km from Bucharest, on
DN 1, at a distance of 25 km from Sinaia and of 25 km
from Brasov.
The climate is specific to the mountain areas, the air
being highly ionizated.
The health resort offers best conditions for accommodation
of the ones that come here to rest, for treatment or
forwinter sports.

Natural background – the depression
is at the foot of the Bucegi mountains, Baiu, Piatra
Mare and Postavarul – this proves to be useful
to the town.
The storms of snow are rare, but the layer of snow could
come to few metres and could last for more than 100
days, which is ideal for winter sports. |
Particular Conditions (bioclimate, fresh
air, high concentration of ozone) together with the
facilities that one can find here puts the Predeal Town
among the most important resorts in Romania. As a plus,
Predeal is the perfect place to go on trips in the mountains
surrounding the area and the many chalet easy to find.
The extended possibilities of going on trips, skiing,
accommodation, fun, resting and delightful landscape
have classified the resort in the international tourist

- Ski tracks with natural snow and artificial snow,
funicular railway for transporting people on foot or
carrying the skis;
- Sledging, skating rink at Clabucet, Clabucet Arrival
and Cocosul;
- Trips in the massifs of mountains surrounding the
resort;
- Touristical trips at the chalets : Clabucet, Garbova,
Trei Brazi, Paraul Rece, Poiana Secuilor;
- Mountain climbing on the marked routes in all the
Bucegi Massif and , for the brave ones, in Piatra Craiului
or to Cheia;
- Sport fields : football, basketball, tennis, volleyball
